Streaming Next
Streaming Next Privacy Policy
This policy explains which data the Streaming Next browser extension, made by BomLabs, accesses, where it keeps it and how you can remove it.
In short: the extension only reads what it needs to list your channels, keeps it in your own browser, and sends nothing to BomLabs except the login requests described below, which are not stored.
Data the extension accesses
Streaming Next only accesses a platform after you connect your account on it, and only with read access. It cannot post, follow, subscribe or change anything on your accounts.
- Twitch: your public profile (id, name, login and profile picture) and the channels you follow, with the
user:read:followspermission. The login also asks theuser:read:emailpermission; the extension does not store or use your email address. - YouTube: your channel (id, name, handle and picture), your subscriptions and the details of the videos of the channels you subscribe to (title, thumbnail, live status and viewers), with the
youtube.readonlypermission. It also reads the public video feeds of these channels on youtube.com to find their lives. - Kick: your profile (id, name and profile picture) and your channel slug, with the
user:readandchannel:readpermissions, plus the public data of the channels you add by name. The extension does not store or use your email address. - Public data of the channels you follow, like their streams, videos, clips and categories, to show them in the list.
Where the data is kept
Everything stays in the storage of your browser, on your device. BomLabs has no database and no copy of your data.
- Your connected accounts (name, picture and access tokens), favorites, groups, notification choices, the Kick channels you added and your settings are kept in the synced storage of the browser. When you sign in to your browser and turn on its sync (Chrome Sync or Firefox Sync), the browser copies them to your other devices; that copy is handled by your browser provider.
- Caches of the lists, like the YouTube subscriptions (kept for up to 30 minutes) and lives (up to 2 minutes), are kept in the local storage of the browser and are fetched again when they expire.
- The list of channels that were live in the current browser session, used to notify only once, is kept in the session storage and is deleted when the browser closes.
The login service
Each platform requires a client secret to finish the login and to renew the access token, and a secret cannot be kept inside an extension. These two requests go through a small service run by BomLabs at streaming-next.bomgames06.com, hosted on Cloudflare Workers.
The service receives the login code (or the refresh token), forwards it to the platform with the client secret and returns the new tokens to your browser. It does not store, log or share the codes or the tokens, and it does not receive any other data.
How the data is used
The data is used only to show your channels, their lives and content, to send the notifications you turned on and to keep you logged in. It is not used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.
Streaming Next has no analytics, no ads and no tracking. BomLabs does not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
Profile pictures, previews and thumbnails are loaded directly from the servers of each platform.
Google and YouTube data
Streaming Next uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube account you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles your data under the Google Privacy Policy.
Streaming Next's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The YouTube data is not transferred to anyone, is not used to serve ads, and is not read by people, only processed by the extension on your device to show your list.
Removing your data and revoking access
- Remove an account in the extension (Accounts menu): the extension revokes its token on the platform and deletes its data and caches.
- Revoke the access at any time on each platform: Google account connections, Twitch connections and the connections page of your Kick account settings.
- Clear the favorites, groups and notifications in the extension settings.
- Uninstalling the extension deletes all of its data from the browser.
Browser permissions
identity: opens the login page of each platform.storage: keeps your accounts, choices and caches, as described above.notificationsandalarms: check the lives every 30 seconds and notify you.activeTabandscripting: open the quick list on the page you are on, only when you press its shortcut. The extension does not read the pages you visit.youtube.com(optional, asked when you connect YouTube): reads the public video feeds of your subscriptions.
Children
Streaming Next is not directed to children under 13, and BomLabs does not knowingly collect data from them. Each platform has its own minimum age to have an account.
